un albero che non c'entra niente in questo ambiente. Sono stati tagliati subito, ma di uno ho lasciato una parte che viene spesso usata da Tris come base per i suoi appostamenti.
Nel 2007 ho piantato tre Lavande davanti al tronco e una Mimosa alla sua sinistra.
La Mimosa purtroppo ha resistito solo un anno, è morta dopo un inverno troppo rigido, mentre le Lavande sono cresciute bene e hanno abbellito la parte davanti al tronco.
Sul quale intanto si arrampicava l'edera...
Quest'anno ho aggiunto altre piante e ora è questa la disposizione attorno al tronco.

I Cotinus, piantati nel 2009, si sono comportati in maniera diversa; uno è cresciuto bene e ormai supera i due metri, l'altro è rimasto più piccolo.
Restava il problema del tronco; cosa farci? Dopo vari consulti e rimuginamentii, ho deciso di far arrampicare delle Clematidi, due Erbacee:
la Juuli
e la Triternata.
La prima ha fiorito abbondantemente da giugno a settembre, mentre la seconda è riuscita a mostrare solo un paio di fiori.
Ora in autunno spiccano i colori della Nandina, con fiori e bacche
Il Cotinus mostra le sue foglie striate di rosso scuro, mente quelle del Berberis diventano di un rosso brillante.
